"As Long As I Can Go To Bukedea To Hell With America" - Determined Speaker Among To USA Sanctions.



Outspoken Speaker of the parliament of Uganda as well as the woman member of parliament representing Bukedea District, Rt. Hon. Anitah Annet Among has never been moved by threats from the international community, most especially European countries ever since the Anti-Homosexual bill 2023 was tabled before parliament.


In one of her statements three months ago, the speaker of parliament, Rt. Hon Anitah Annet among boldly told the August house that she is not scared of the outcome as a result, but the Anti-Homosexuality bill must be passed into law.


"I received several threatening calls and emails regarding the Anti-Homosexuality bill 2023, this can't stop us from protecting our culture, I am not scared of any sanctions as long as I can go to my constituency Bukedea to hell with America" - Speaker Among.






She also said, as the Parliament of Uganda, they had answered the cries of our people. 


"We have legislated to protect the sanctity of family as per Article 31 of the Constitution of Uganda. We have stood strong to defend our culture and aspirations of our people as per objectives 19 & 24 of national objectives and directive principles of state policy" - Speaker A mong.

Revoking Speaker Among's USA  over LGBTQ law


Shortly after the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among announced that the President had signed the Anti homosexuality law, the US government announced a cancellation of Hon Among’s visa to the United States of America.

This was conParliamentfirmed by Bugiri Municipality Member, Hon. Asuman Basalirwa.


"The mover of the Anti-Homosexuality bill, speaker of parliament, Rt Hon. Anita Among has been banned from traveling to the United States of America until further notice"- Basalirwa while addressing the media.



He further said that the speaker's Visa to the USA was canceled following her involvement in the anti-homosexuality bill.
