Over 100 students sponsored by GIZ and KCB at Mbale school for the deaf graduates.

 



Mbale school for the deaf students who are fully sponsored by GIZ and KCB graduated in different vocational disciplines.


According to Sister Rose Nelima, the Headteacher of Mbale School for the Deaf, 115 students who are fully under the sponsorship of GIZ and KCB are the ones graduating.


Nelima revealed that the students got certificates in carpentry and masonry, plumbing and electrical installation for both deaf and non deaf students.


 She commended GIZ and KCB for the support they have extended to the school as the management they are very grateful.


"I ask the graduants to be resilient, God-fearing, trustworthy as they enter the world of employment," Nelima said. 


She noted that as a school, they have given their students enough skills to sustain themselves out there and appealed to them to always come back to school aks for any assistance. 


Nampijja Shadida a deaf student who graduated in carpentry while giving her testimony, expressed gratitude towards their sponsors for making it possible for her to achieve education in life. 


Kutosi David another student at on Bungokho rural development Centre program told Bugisu Intellectual that with the skills he has acquired,  he can earn a living. 


While giving his testimony, Kutosi thanked the sponsors for the chance he got attain this certificate. 


Mr. Masaba James Mbale district councilor who was the guest of honor at the graduation advised graduands not to be comfortable with the certificates they have acquired but to upgrade for further studies. 


He appealed to graduands to be trustworthy as they enter the job market.
