What You Need To Know About The Fund:

I have seen concerns raised by Mc kats and others on the matter of financial support to the Emcees SACCOs. Let me think that your concerns are made in good faith.
This money is for Emcees to borrow and return and not as a donation to Emcees who speak at functions because you are individually paid by function organizers for your efforts. The funds can be borrowed and returned at a 6% interest rate.
This countrywide program is the President’s initiative managed by my office.
I am therefore advising you to visit your nearest RDC/RCC, CAO, Town Clerk, DISO or Commercial Office where guidelines for accessing these funds will be displayed by 8.00 am on Monday September 29, 2025. The list of the sub-region coordinators will be displayed on Friday September 26, 2025.
Note that these funds are open to any Emcee who is well known in their area. Therefore, there is no cause for any alarm.
The Emcees you say you do not recognize in the picture are:
1-Mr. Meddy Dhakaba who is a well-known Emcee in Busoga and who by the way, is the initiator of this proposal;
2-Mr. Butuume Geoffrey Speed – a well-known Emcee in Western Uganda, and;
3-Mr. Ssegujja Fred – the chairperson of Abogezi bo ku Mikolo in Buganda.
In conclusion, I feel with you when you raise the issue of not being rewarded for your services. Indeed, it would be good for us to know who has not paid you for the services you rendered. If it was a government client, there are known procedures and fora for raising and reporting such a case.
However, I advise that you should always first appreciate an initiative before pulling it down. In any case, for all the time you have worked as Emcees, this is likely to be the first time such activity is implemented. FK
