Mbale District Woman Mp Miriam Mukhaye Receives A Heroic Reception In Busiu TC As She Resumes Her Campaigns


Hon. Miriam Mukhaye, the Woman MP for Mbale District, has officially launched her campaigns from Busiu Town Council as she seeks to retain her seat this time as the NRM flag bearer.

Starting her trail in Namirembe Ward, Hon. Miriam traversed Bufukhula, Hospital and Alpha Wards, receiving a warm and joyful welcome from residents who sang songs of praise and shared testimonies of her impactful leadership.

In her address, she thanked the people of Busiu for their overwhelming support during the party primaries. She assured them that her commitment to serving Mbale remains firm and even stronger now that she has the full backing of the NRM party.

“𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘦. 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘙𝘔, 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦,” 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥. 

Residents pledged their continued support, citing her effective representation and tangible contributions like procurement of a brand new ambulance, fundraising for land to expand the Busiu Health Centre iv into a District Hospital, supporting mothers at the health facility, and many other interventions that have improved lives in Mbale.

They also noted their expectation that the President may consider appointing their Woman MP to a ministerial position, given her dedication and service. Community members further expressed their continued support for the NRM leadership and its various flag bearers.

Hon. Miriam reaffirmed her dedication to representing the women of Mbale with dignity, strength and unwavering service.
