Hon. Isodo was a prominent member of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party and was widely respected for her humility, friendliness, and commitment to public service. The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among described her as a servant leader who was deeply loved by her constituents and colleagues.

“Her life was a testament to selfless service, integrity, and unwavering dedication to the people of Ngora and the nation at large. Though she has departed, her legacy of compassion and leadership will continue to inspire this House and the generations to come,” the Speaker noted.

The late legislator served with distinction on several parliamentary committees, including Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries; Equal Opportunities; and National Economy. She was also an active member of the Parliamentary Sports Club, where she played netball.

The Speaker noted that Hon. Isodo was a strong advocate for women’s rights and a passionate grassroots leader. She served as spokesperson for the Teso Parliamentary Group, where she championed development initiatives for the sub-region. As a trained agriculturalist, she frequently contributed technical insight to legislative debates on rural development and agricultural productivity.

“Death is inevitable, but what defines our legacy is the impact we create in society,” she said, urging Members to strive for positive and lasting contributions to humanity.

Parliament extended condolences to the family of Hon. Apolot, the people of Ngora District, the Teso sub-region, the FDC Party, and the nation at large. Members were also urged to pray for the bereaved family and for God’s protection and guidance.

State Minister for Fisheries, Hon. Hellen Adoa (Serere Woman MP), said Hon. Isodo served Uganda with humanity in various capacities. She praised the late MP for promoting unity, social-economic transformation, and championing girl-child education.

“She earned national recognition for promoting human rights and encouraging women to embrace agriculture,” Adoa said.

Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Joel Senyonyi, conveyed condolences on behalf of the opposition to the family of the late MP, the people of Ngora, and the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party.

Soroti City Woman MP Alobo Joan spoke emotionally about her close relationship with the late legislator, describing her as a motherly figure and a passionate advocate for agriculture.

“She lobbied for tractors for Ngora and promised to empower women. She was humble, calm, and very knowledgeable,” Alobo said.

Her passing brings to seven the number of Members of the 11th Parliament who have died, a reality the Speaker described as deeply painful.
