Read Here Why-Umukuka Wa Bugisu Mudoma Jude Mike Bribing Journalists With iPads & Cash As His Term Ends

The leader of the cultural institution, Umukuuka wa Bugisu, Jude Mike Mudoma, has reportedly bribed several journalists in Mbale with brand-new iPads and cash.

According to our reporter/ Investigative journalist, he alleged that this was done to influence them and prevent truthful reporting about the ongoing saga in Bugisu Cultural Institution.

There are also claims that he has lost public credibility, with sections of the community expressing dissatisfaction with his leadership.

Critics argue that his rise to the position was controversial and not widely accepted.

Some members of the Bamasaaba community question his legitimacy as a cultural leader, citing concerns about his adherence to cultural practices, including the traditional Imbalu circumcision rites.

Additionally, a few elders have raised doubts about his origins, alleging that he may not be a true Mumasaaba but rather has roots linked to the Kalenjin community.

The alleged bribery of journalists is a clear indication of an attempt to prevent such information from reaching the public. As key informers and influential voices in society, journalists play a critical role in shaping public awareness.

Any effort to compromise their integrity raises serious concerns about transparency, accountability and trust in leadership.
