NRM's Wanyoto, Mulimba & Namayanja Urge mourners in Busia to Massively vote for M7 In 2026 as Nekesa's maternal grandmother is laid to rest


Sironko District NRM Chairman Hajji Mafabi Lumolo, his wife the NRM National Treasurer, Amb. Barbra Nekesa, NRM  Deputy Secretary General, Rosemary Namayanja, CEC Lydia Wanyoto Mutende & Minister John Mulimba have urged mourners to massively vote for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the forthcoming 2026 General elections.

The top NRM officials made the call during the send of final send off of Barbra's grandmother, jaja Nafula Jessica in Lumino- Busia, who died at 93 years.

In his speech to the mourners, Hon. Lydia Wanyoto Mutende, NRM National Women's League Chairperson, urged mourners to vote for President Museveni in large numbers come 2026 and actively participate in the ongoing NRM structures from village to national level. 

Wanyoto also praisedHajji Sulaiman Lumolo, NRM Chairperson for Sironko District, as a dedicated and patriotic cadre who prioritizes the party's interests. Hon. Mutende also expressed gratitude to the people of Sironko for endorsing Hajji Lumolo as NRM Chairperson unopposed.

Lumolo is the husband to Amb. Nekesa Oundo.

Hajhi Lumolo advocated for peaceful elections and also urged mourners to vote for M7, noting that he has performed to his best.

The National Resistance Movement National treasure, Amb. Barbra Nekesa in his remarks called upon Uganda Citizens Above 18 years to fully participate in the ongoing the village level elections. 

Nekesa also advised all, local, religious, cultural leaders to mobilize and sensitize the community about the Government poverty eradication programmes like PDM.

"As leaders, we need to collectively work together to have a smooth andsuccessful PDM program, I therefore callupon all leaders to embrace this ongoing process. I would like to thank all of you here present for supporting the NRM Party on its journey of Social-Economic Transformation of the masses of our people in our beloved country. Everyone of us present here has got a very critical role to play to make this goal a reality in our lifetime and transform the lives of our people and secure a better future for generations to come.- Nekesa noted 

Nekesa also called upon mourners to understand the critical path that they must take to deliver the desired ingredients to socially and economically transform the people’s lives. 

"Our role as leaders in whatever capacities, whether religious, political, cultural, etc is to mobilize and galvanize our people around the fundamentals of this goal-Nekesa.
