Wanyoto Paul has finally dumped FDC and decided to run as an independent candidate in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.
Looking at his official poster of 2026-2031, it looks like the powerful city lawyer is set to run as an independent candidate for the Northern City MP Seat.
It should be noted that in 2021, Wanyoto contested for this position under FDC but eventually lost it to Wambede Seth of NRM.
Ever since then, wanyoto has been shunning away from fdc activities, though sources say that he wasn't happy after fdc split.

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC): Wanyoto ran as the FDC candidate for Mbale City Northern Division in the 2021 general election, garnering 4,135 votes but losing to the National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate.
