Soroti, Uganda: Flt. Capt. Dr. George Michael Mukula, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Vice Chairperson for the Eastern Region, is solidifying his reputation as a dedicated leader and champion of development across Eastern Uganda. Beyond his political role, Mukula is increasingly recognized for his philanthropic endeavors and unwavering commitment to uplifting communities.
Recently, Mukula spearheaded an initiative to provide clean water access to several villages in Teso sub-region, an area frequently plagued by water scarcity. The project involved drilling boreholes and establishing sustainable water management systems, significantly improving the health and well-being of thousands.
“Access to clean water is a fundamental human right,” Mukula stated during the commissioning of one of the boreholes. “It’s unacceptable that in this day and age, people still struggle to find clean water for their families. This project is a testament to our commitment to addressing these basic needs and empowering our communities.”
Mukula’s commitment to the Eastern Region extends beyond water provision. He has been a staunch advocate for improved education and healthcare. He recently donated scholastic materials to several schools in the region and pledged his support for infrastructure development in rural health centers.
“Education and health are the cornerstones of a prosperous society,” Mukula explained. “We must invest in these sectors to create opportunities for our young people and ensure that everyone has access to quality healthcare. We are working tirelessly to bridge the gaps and create a level playing field for all.”
Furthermore, Mukula has been instrumental in promoting agricultural development in the region, providing farmers with access to modern farming techniques and resources. He has facilitated the establishment of farmer cooperatives and supported initiatives aimed at improving crop yields and market access.
“Agriculture is the backbone of our economy,” Mukula emphasized. “By empowering our farmers with the necessary tools and knowledge, we can boost agricultural production, create jobs, and improve livelihoods. We are committed to supporting sustainable agricultural practices that will benefit our communities for generations to come.”
Mukula’s work has earned him widespread praise from community leaders and residents. Many describe him as a true patriot and Pan-Africanist, dedicated to the betterment of his region and the nation as a whole.
“Mukula is a man of action,” said a local elder from Soroti. “He doesn’t just talk, he delivers. He has done so much for our community, and we are grateful for his leadership and dedication.”
As the Aspirant for NRM National Vice Chairperson for the Eastern Region (2025-2030), Mukula is ready to continue his work and make a lasting impact on the lives of people in Eastern Uganda. His focus on development, coupled with his unwavering commitment to service, positions him as a driving force for positive change in the region.
