"Standing on the shoulders of sacrifice – a new chapter for Eastern Uganda in NRM" Buyela as he joins the battle of the titans.

Fellow members of the mighty NRM fraternity, I salute you in the spirit of patriotism, service, and revolutionary commitment that birthed this party in 1980, when H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and a few courageous patriots took 27 guns into the bush to fight for the soul of Uganda. Their victory in 1986 gave us the peace and stability we enjoy today—thanks to the sacrifice of our veterans, historicals, and all those who have stood firm for the party.

Today, I present myself, Buyela Christopher, as a candidate for NRM Vice Chairperson Eastern Region, standing not just as an individual, but as a voice for the voiceless:

For the veterans and historicals who fought for our freedom but have not fully received the attention they deserve.

For the youths, who make up 78% of Uganda's population, but are too often left out of planning and empowerment.

For the NRM mobilizers, who build victories on the ground but are forgotten after elections.

For the women, who have carried this party for decades but remain underrepresented in top leadership.

My candidature is a call for fairness, inclusion, and reward for loyalty. I am here to ensure that no cadre, no mobilizer, no veteran, and no youth is left behind.

I seek your support—not for myself—but for a shared vision where Eastern Uganda stands stronger, more united, and fully represented in the next chapter of NRM’s leadership.
