Oboth-Oboth Steps Aside For Capt. Mukula In The Furthcoming NRM CEC Race

One of General Museveni's blue-eyed boys from the newly created Mulanda District in  Bukedi Sub-region has struck a good  deal with another blue eyed boy of the president from Soroti City.

The deal is that  the Honourable Minister of Defense, Jacob Oboth Oboth has stepped aside for  Flight Captain Dr. Mike Mukula in the race for the powerful position of  NRM Chairman for Eastern Uganda.

Honourable Oboth Oboth had  hoped to kill three edible birds with one stone(Mp Budama Central, Minister of Defence and Chairman NRM ( #EasternRegion )....

Flt. Capt. Hon. Mukulaa, a discreet cadre and a very articulate defender of the mighty revolutionary NRM party is seeking re-election to the regional office. But for quite some time, the captain developed some  uneasiness after the powerful Minister of defence,  an equally well exposed cadre threatened to invade the  Captain's territory in pursuit of  the Captain's  yellow chair.

However, Captains do not die easily.  just as Hon.Oboth Oboth was about to invade Mukula's territory the king makers in Kampala including the gallant son of Kaguta intervened.

The king makers discovered that another Kwara Adhola subject  from Mulanda called Ofwono Opondo had also picked interest in occupying another Eastern Uganda chair(Mp Older Persons)

In the NRM democratic practice,  it's illegal  for two members of the party hailing  from the same sub-county or Constituency to  enjoy two  juicy  national level positions at the expense of other party members from other corners of the country.

That explains  why the king makers decided to advise Jadwong Oboth Oboth  tounconditionally  drop one of his  two pursuits. He shook hands with captain Mukula, and the captain responded with a wide smile.

Meanwhile, candidate Ofwono Opondo has had a very busy week knocking on the doors of the aged men and women in Eastern Uganda who are eager to push him to  parliament to lobby for their old-age benefits like  free medication, housing, adult education and  at least 500,000/= as  monthly upkeep money per elder.
