Today June 24th 2025 Mp aspirant, Wamono George, commonly Known As Salongo from Bungokho Central, received a historic welcome from supporters after being nominated by NRM Secretariat in Kyadondo last week on Friday.
The supporters who gathered at Nyondo play grounds playgrounds went & welcomed George in a procession From Bugemathrough Mbale-Tororo road, Busoba, Bungokho Sub County, Nabumali Town Council, purunyende, Busano and finally had a dinner at his home in Bunywaka just adjacent to his opponent's Home.
Along the way, the procession was intercepted by huge rains, this never stopped him from conducting his rally.
While addressing our reporterin a one on one with out reporter, George thanked his supporters for the warm reception, stating he was cleared to start campaigning.
George appealed to the people of Busano, where he held his huge rally, to support him, assuring them he understands their needs and has the qualifications to represent them.
While in Nabumali TC, several supporters shouted, "we are in need of an educated person, one who continued with education till university nonstop, not anything equivalent to S6"
This looks like the Tc voter's were targeting his opponent, Masaba Muhamood whom they claim has questionable academic documents.
Recently, Masaba cleared the air, noting that he had all the qualifications leading the constituency, and had been cleared by the NRM EC.
Bungokho Central race has over six candidates running on the NRM ticket.
