Residents of Bukasakya Mutoto in Mbale Industrial City Division have expressed their gratitude to their area. Member of Parliament, Hon. Karim Masaba, for repairing and replacing broken water taps.
“We have been struggling to get clean drinking water since the taps broke down some time ago, but now we are very happy because clean water is flowing again,” said several residents.
Mothers in the area shared that the lack of water had been causing domestic issues, including delays in cooking meals for their families.
“We used to quarrel with our husbands because supper was always late due to the long search for water. Now, that will be history,” one woman explained.
The men and elderly residents also extended their appreciation to Hon. Karim Masaba for his wise decision to fix the taps, noting that water scarcity had been a major challenge in the community.
Karim Masaba’s contributions to the Industrial City communities go beyond water. Residents highlighted several of his other achievements, including:
Donating tents to assist families during emergencies and community functions
Repairing local bridges
Supporting health and sanitation efforts, including garbage collection in Namatala
Backing education initiatives
Consistently representing the people's concerns and proposals in Parliament
The youth of Bukasakya also commended Hon. Masaba for his unwavering support, especially in the areas of sports and other youth-centered programs.
Additionally, mothers in Bukisukye Upper were overjoyed by the return of clean water and offered prayers for Hon. Masaba, hoping he continues to serve them diligently in Parliament.
Residents confirmed that Hon. Masaba has also installed two large water tanks in Bukasakya Mutoto to ensure a steady water supply in the area.
