On the contrary, following the just-concluded party primaries, Hon. Richard Wanda, Member of Parliament for Bungokho Central, vehemently disagreed with the results as fraudulent and declared his candidature as an independent candidate.

Addressing the swirling rumours, Hon. Wanda set the record straight, saying:

“At no point have I sat in a meeting with any candidate to front any other other than himself. Those claims are entirely baseless.”

According to Hon. Wanda, the falsehood is intended to mislead his voters.

“It’s unfortunate that certain leaders depend on peddling lies to gain sympathy and momentum.

Wanda, who lost the party primaries, didn’t mince words about the outcome, accusing the process of being tainted with fraud.

In a bold move, Hon. Wanda officially declared his intention to run as an independent candidate in 2026.

“My decision to run as an independent is rooted in my belief that the people deserve a leader who puts integrity and truth above any other interests.
