Incumbent Mbale District Woaman MP Mukhaye Hails Her Voters For Her Landslide Victory In NRM Primaries, Promises Better Service Delivery, As She Donates A Brand New Fully Equipped Ambulance


The Mbale District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Miriam Mukhaye has expressed great thanks to the residents of Mbale District for their overwhelming support during the NRM primary elections for the Woman members of parliament slot. 

Mukhaye won the election with 56104 votes  65.1% of the garnered votes, 79,832, followed by her rival,  Lunyolo Aisha with 27671 votes 32.1%, Namaganda Susan got 2035 votes 2.3% and Nadunga Oliver 368 votes 0.4% 

While in a one on one with our reporter, Musamali Arnold, Mukhaye said that this was a tremendous results, and that the people of Mbale District had spoke volume. 

"I really appreciate the over whelming support from my voters in Mbale and may God bless them all"- Miriam with tears of Joy.

Mukhaye further cherished H.E. Rtd. Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, all NRM Local leaders of Mbale and the coordinators who took the lead in mobilisation.




Mukhaye appealed to her voters to continue to support her in the forthcoming general election.

She also appealed to her opponents to join and support her in the forthcoming general election for the good of Mbale District, and Bugisu at large. 

“I call upon all my opponents to join me and work together for the betterment of  Mbale District and Bugisu Region at large”.

She donated a brand new fully Equipped Ambulance to her voters in Mbale District as a sign of appropriation.
