Trouble For Pr. Kayanja As Wakamala Testifies Before Court Today That Paster First Asked Him For A Massage Before Sodomizing Him

Led by his lawyer Tumwesigye, Wakamala introduced himself as a Mugishu from Mbale who came to Kampala after dropping out of school due to sight problems. He recounted that his mother encouraged him to seek prayers for healing, first at a church in Mutungo before attending a crusade in Kayunga in 2016.

It was during this period, he said, that he was persuaded to join the famous “77 Days of Glory” prayer meetings at Rubaga Miracle Centre. “I told my mother I didn’t want to be associated with Pastor Kayanja or Kakande, but later I changed my mind after the Kayunga pastor said he had voices telling me to go,” Wakamala testified.

He told court that upon joining the church, he volunteered as an usher before later being recruited into the church security team. Through this work, he said he grew closer to senior leaders who introduced him to different responsibilities, including K9 training.

Wakamala narrated his first encounter with Pastor Kayanja directly. “I later entered Pastor Kayanja’s office around midday. He gave me shs300,000 but I told him I needed anointing from him. He hugged me tightly and I wondered if I was his begotten son,” he said.

He then gave a detailed account of an incident that he claims left him traumatized. “One day after a night service, someone called me that pastor was looking for me. He asked me to give him a massage. He was in a boxer. Later he came out with a towel and a small mattress. He lay down and asked for a further massage. At some point, he reached for my zipper and touched my genitalia. He asked to have sex with me. I refused and started crying because I got disappointed in the pastor I was holding in high regard,” Wakamala told court, breaking down in tears.

He said the alleged attempt was unsuccessful, but from that time Pastor Kayanja looked at him with anger and accused him of betrayal. “He never gave me any money and told his associates that I was their enemy,” Wakamala testified.

THE JUDGE ASKED HIM TO RECITE THE MESSAGES THEY EXCHANGED BETWEEN HIMSELF AND PASTOR KAYANJA AND IF HE REMEMBERS WELL, HE SAID HE REMEMBERS THE MESSAGE WORD FOR WORD.

He was allowed to tell the court the entire message.

Another time he sodomized me, we were in office when he told us for sodomize ourselves as he watched us while he was just in his underwear.

When we failed (because it wasn't natural for us) he told me in Luganda "Naye gwe Wakamala okyalina ekyeejo" meaning "but you, Wakamala youre acting like you're a bit spoiled"

He then pulled me away and sodomized me.
