Budadiri East Mp NRM flagger bearer Eng. Nakiyi embarks on fixing all roads connecting hard to reach areas

Julius Nakiyi, the Budadiri East Member of Parliament aspirant on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party ticket, has taken the initiative to repair roads connecting hard-to-reach sub-counties.

The sub-counties benefiting from this project include Zesui,Namaguli, Buchambi, Butandiga, Bumulisha, Bukise among others.

Nakiyi has used his vehicles to ferry marram and pour it on the roads in these areas.

His goal is to enable farmers and traders to transport agricultural products to markets, thereby boosting household incomes.

During the repair of the Bumunyasi to Kipande road, Stephen Madanda one of the area residents expressed gratitude for the development, noting that the road had received no maintenance since last year, hindering movement and transportation.

Residents, including Sarah Namataka and Suzan Wedanya from Zesui sub-county, highlighted the critical need for accessible roads, citing instances of expectant mothers dying en route to Zesui Health Center III due to impassable roads. They urged the district to repair remaining roads to improve accessibility.

Nakiyi's efforts have garnered support from local leaders and residents.

He recently received endorsements from over 200 women leaders in Budadiri East and leaders from Bukyambi Sub-County, who praised his commitment to addressing community concerns and promoting economic empowerment.
