Counsel Paul Mugoya Wanyoto has been duly nominated to contest for Member of Parliament for Mbale Northern City Division, pledging to focus on improving health services and promoting development in the constituency.
Addressing the media shortly after his nomination, Wanyoto said he is bringing a “cocktail of ideas” aimed at protecting existing gains, ensuring money in people’s pockets, and empowering citizens.
He emphasized that his term in Parliament, if elected, will focus on projects designed to empower the youth, women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
“My campaign has been health-centered. I have donated tricycle ambulances to Namakwekwe and Namanyonyi Health Centre IIIs, painted Namakwekwe Health Centre, and ensured that every mother who delivers goes home with a basin and a bar of soap from all health centers in the division including Nakaloke and Bufumbo Health Center IV in Bukonde.
All these initiatives aim at improving healthcare for my people,” Wanyoto said.
He added that he will work closely with the government to improve infrastructure, including roads and the education system.
Wanyoto appealed to the people of Mbale Northern City Division to vote for him, saying he stands for unity and development of the constituency and the city at large. His campaign symbol is a ball.
