Mrs. Gladys Mukula, wife of former Soroti Municipality MP and Ex-NRM Eastern Region CEC Member Capt. Mike Mukula, on Tuesday survived a serious road accident along the Clock Tower Flyover in Kampala.
The accident occurred when a vehicle belonging to Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), reportedly allocated to Rt. Maj. Rubamira Ruranga, rammed into Mrs. Mukula’s car.
Witnesses say the OWC vehicle, driven at what authorities believe was excessive speed, lost control before violently hitting her vehicle in the incident that caused significant damage to both cars.
Mrs. Mukula was immediately rushed to Healing Ways Hospital in Kampala for treatment.
Medical personnel have not yet provided a detailed update on her condition, but sources indicate she is under close monitoring and out of immediate danger.
According to preliminary reports, the driver of the OWC vehicle has already admitted responsibility for the crash. Police say the driver allegedly engaged in reckless driving moments before losing control.

Traffic officers swiftly responded to the scene and later towed both vehicles to the Central Police Station (CPS) yard for technical inspection.
Family sources say they are grateful that Mrs. Mukula survived what could have been a fatal accident, urging the public to pray for her quick recovery.
Police have appealed to road users to exercise caution, especially during peak hours on major city flyovers, noting that many recent accidents have been linked to speeding and reckless driving.
