Eng. Nakiyi Julius, the NRM MP Flagbearer for Budadiri East in Sironko District, on Sunday launched a distinctive campaign which will kick start today monday 17, November, 2026, setting a new precedent for political mobilization in the face of public health concerns and poetry eradication.
Nakiyi was received by thousands of voters who had gathered in Bukyabo Subcounty, Budadiri East.
In an atmosphere filled with joy, chants, and overwhelming solidarity, the people of Bukyabo demonstrated unmatched love for their son, reaffirming their belief that the time for new leadership has arrived.
Addressing the massive gathering, Nakiyi called upon all Bukyabo residents to rise, mobilize, and spearhead his message of unity, transformation, and service across Budadiri East. He emphasized that victory will come through collective effort, discipline, and strong community structures.
In a symbolic and deeply moving moment, Bukyabo elders blessed him and ceremonially handed him traditional instruments of authority—signifying their confidence in his journey to Parliament and their endorsement of his leadership. The gesture underscored a clear message: Budadiri East is ready for a new chapter under Eng. Julius Nakiyi.
According to him Nakiyi, his Campaigns, Prioritizing Health & “Protecting the Gains”in support to President Museveni.
He further noted that he will be holding small, medium, large and house to house gatherings.
According to Nakiyi, this innovative strategy underscores the campaign’s commitment to both reaching voters effectively and ensuring their safety, reflecting a responsive approach to the current health environment.
He further says, his campaign is rallying under the powerful slogan, “PROTECTING THE GAINS”. While specific achievements to be protected were not detailed in the immediate announcement, his vision and as a netive of the area has typically focused on development initiatives across various sectors, including infrastructure, education, health, and economic empowerment, with a particular emphasis on the Agriculture industry.
With the general elections anticipated for next year January, Eng. Nakiyi is positioning himself as the continuity candidate for Budadiri East Constituency, urging voters to consolidate the progress made under his capacity and the NRM government.
To him, the campaign message highlights a call for focused support, stating, “Come next year January, it’s only the [candidate] that we vote for.”
