City socialite Brian Kirumira, popularly known as Brian White, has been remanded to Luzira Prison as investigations intensify into the mysterious death of 25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama, a woman reportedly closely linked to him.
Kirumira appeared in Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday after being driven in an ambulance and wheeled in the court room wailing.
Several charges including manslaughter, human sacrifice, possession of narcotic substances, conspiracy to commit a felony, and giving false information to authorities were read to him but was not allowed to either deny or accept the charges since they are only tried by the High Court.
He was remanded until December 18, 2025.
The case initially emerged as a reported fire incident at Kirumira’s home but has since developed into a complex criminal investigation involving multiple arrests, including a doctor, a nurse, and Kirumira’s wife. Investigators now suspect the fire explanation may have been a cover-up.
Police have revised the incident timeline, revealing that Nalubwama sustained her fatal injuries on October 22, 2025, not October 24 as initially claimed, and the matter was reported to authorities five days later, on October 27.
With four other suspects already in custody and Kirumira behind bars, police say more details are expected as the investigation continues into the events surrounding Nalubwama’s death.
