Asha Seeks Mandate to Continue Service Delivery in Sironko as thousands attend her rallies in mutufu

The NRM flag bearer for Woman Member of Parliament in Sironko District, Asha Nabulo Mafabi, has called on residents of Mutufu Town Council to grant her the mandate to represent them in Parliament, pledging to strengthen service delivery and development across the district.

Nabulo made the appeal on Monday while addressing a massive campaign rally at Mutufu Town Council, where she received a warm reception from supporters as she continued her campaign trail, and she received a bull, goat, hen and matooke in appreciation for what she has done for them.

Addressing Journalists shortly after the event, Nabulo said the overwhelming welcome demonstrated the strong bond she has built with the people of Mutufu and Sironko at large.

She noted that her speech was cut short because residents spent much of the day sharing testimonies and appreciating the impact of projects implemented through her Mafabi Asha Foundation (MAF).

“When you serve people and they appreciate your work, it gives you more energy and morale to do even more,” Mafabi said.

“For the past six years and eleven months, I have served with limited resources and without an office. I now ask the people of Sironko to give me the mandate on January 15 so I can represent them effectively in Parliament.” Nabulo noted.

She highlighted her track record of community service through MAF, which has supported several development initiatives in the district since 2020.

These include free medical camps, provision of mattresses, blankets and food items to disaster victims, construction and rehabilitation of water sources such as boreholes, protected wells and gravity flow schemes, installation of solar-powered water systems in schools, and support to teenage mothers.

Mafabi further revealed that she has already lobbied potential investors from the United Kingdom, Turkey and Poland, who have expressed interest in investing in sectors such as education, health, road and bridge construction, waste recycling and water services.

She also cited plans for a tomato processing plant in Sironko, noting that many of these investments are in the pipeline and require strong political representation to be safeguarded.

The Sironko District NRM Youth League Chairperson, Isaac Masumba, urged young people in the district to support Mafabi, describing her as a leader committed to practical service delivery.

Residents at the rally shared testimonies of how the Asha  has positively impacted their lives. Mazanga Alex, a resident of Mutufu B, credited her for providing clean water to the community, saying it had saved lives and improved health outcomes.

He said these achievements are the reason residents should entrust Asha with the parliamentary seat.

Asha pledged that, if elected, she would build on her record by advocating for  improved service delivery like road network, healthcare, education supporting the youth and sustainable development for the people of Sironko District.

Asha Nabulo Mafabi is taking on the incumbent Woman MP, Florence Nambozo, FDC’s Phiona Banga, and independent candidate Sharifa Mariam Maruti in the race for the Sironko District Woman Parliamentary seat.
