𝘽𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙠𝙝𝙤, 𝙈𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙚 —
Commissioner in the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), Mr. Mike Mabonga, has today extended vital support to YMCA Mbale Branch in Bungokho, donating two embroidery machines and UGX 500,000 towards the construction of a YMCA toilet facility.
Mr. Mabonga pledged continued support, revealing plans to return after Christmas with his colleagues for further contributions aimed at strengthening the institution.
He commended YMCA Mbale for its unwavering support to the current government through vocational skills training, noting that empowering communities with practical skills remains a cornerstone for sustainable development worldwide.
Receiving the support, Mr. David Mabonga, Director of YMCA Mbale Branch, expressed deep gratitude, saying, “𝘐 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘔𝘳. 𝘔𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘔𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵. 𝘐𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴.”
He further appealed to parents and youth to enrol at YMCA Mbale Branch for vocational studies, emphasizing hands-on skills training for self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.
Mr. David Mabonga also noted with pride that Mr. Mike Mabonga is his Old student at Nabumali High School.
