The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Mr Bayole Stanley has addressed a security meeting in Jewa Town Council and Bubyangu Sub County on December 21, 2025, following clashes between supporters of Dr. Magolo and Hon. Wazembe, resulting in property destruction and theft.
The meeting, attended by all candidates, 3rd division Commander Maj general Sserunkuma, RPC, RISO, DISO, GISOs , electral commission Registra and community members from the sub counties, aimed to restore peace.
The 3rd division Commander Maj general Sserunkuma warned the youths who are involved in these clashes after taking alcohol and other drugs who destabilize peace during campaigns.
Regional police Commander also warned people who are involved in these bad acts and intend to distabilize peace in the cummuties will be arrested and taken to courts of law and he reminded them that no one is above the law .
RPC instructed the DPC to transfer the two OCs of the affected areas immediately and asked army soldiers to backup police in these affected areas to restore peace.
The RDC condemned the violence, warning politicians to control their supporters and maintain peace. Security officials will be deployed to the areas, and those involved in violence will face consequences. The RDC emphasized peaceful campaigns, ensuring no one hinders others from campaigning .
