Mbale District NRM Boss Wambogo Urges Peaceful End Of Year Celebrations & Responsible 2026 Elections


The Mbale District National Resistance Movement (NRM) Chairman, Mr Wambogo Moses Has Called For Peaceful End Of Year Celebrations Ahead Of The January Polls.

"As we approach the end of year celebrations, I encourage all Ugandans to celebrate responsibly and to uphold peace and unity as we move toward the 2026 elections"-Wambogo.

He further thanked Ugandans for the peacefully celebrating Christmas, Wambogo also called upon Ugandand, most especially, Mbale District tesident to remain united as the country prepares for the 2026 general elections.

Delivering his end of year and New Year message in Mbale, Wambogo appealed to citizens to embrace responsible behavior during the festive season and to promote peace, tolerance, and national pride.

Wambogo who also serves on the mobilization team for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni extended warm festive greetings to Ugandans, calling for reflection and responsible celebration.

“As we approach the New year, I encourage all Ugandans to celebrate responsibly and to uphold peace and unity as we move toward the 2026 elections,” Wambogo said.

With the general elections just weeks away, the Wambogo reminded citizens of the importance of peace and wisdom at the ballot box, urging voters to remain calm and avoid acts of provocation or violence.

“Let us remember that elections come and go, but our country remains. We must protect our peace and our future,” He added.

Wambogo also appealed to parents and guardians to guide young people away from hate speech and political conflict, encouraging positive engagement during the holidays through sports, church, and community activities.
