Sironko District has, over the years, faced many challenges—political, social, and economic. In all these moments, one leader has remained visible, accessible, and committed to the people: Hon. Florence Nambozo Mayoga, the Woman Member of Parliament for Sironko District and the Minister of State for Karamoja Affairs.
Hon. Nambozo’s leadership has not been about convenience or political seasons. It has been about standing with the people in difficult times, speaking for the vulnerable, and representing Sironko at both district and national levels with consistency and dignity. Whether during times of hardship, development gaps, or national responsibilities, she has continued to show up for her people.
As supporters, we cannot ignore the growing concerns within the district regarding internal party dynamics, particularly within the NRM structures. Many supporters feel that party privileges and opportunities have not always been fairly distributed, with repeated perceptions of favoritism centered around the office of the District Party Chairperson. For several terms, benefits and political opportunities appear to have concentrated around one homestead, and now the same pattern seems to be repeating itself with the fronting of a close family member for parliamentary representation on the party ticket.
This is not about personalities or families, it is about principle, fairness, and respect for grassroots contribution. A strong party is built on inclusion, merit, loyalty, and service to the people, not on inheritance or entitlement.
Hon. Florence Nambozo Mayoga has earned her support through work, not proximity to power. She has balanced national ministerial responsibilities while remaining grounded in Sironko. Her record speaks louder than internal politics. She represents experience, stability, and a deep understanding of the district’s needs.
As supporters, our call is simple:
Let service and performance guide our choices.
Let unity and fairness strengthen our party.
Let leaders who have stood with the people continue to represent them.
Sironko deserves leadership that is tested, trusted, and people-centered. For many of us, that leadership is embodied in Hon. Florence Nambozo Mayoga.
The people remember. The people decide.
A concerned and committed supporter of Hon. Florence Nambozo Mayoga
