Earlier today, The speaker of parliamentary, Rt. Hon Anita Among joined theNRM National tresuerer, Hon. Amb. Babra Nekesa and the people of Busia in a thanksgiving ceremony to celebrate the performance of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRMin the district.
"I thank Hon Nekesa for effectively leading the team and remembering to come back to thank the voters" -Speaker Among.
She further said that it is now incumbent upon on of them to deliver on the promises they made to the people and to work to improve their livelihoods.

Members of the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC), led by the Second National Vice Chairperson (Female), Rt. Hon. Annet Anita Among, together with the Secretariat leadership headed by the Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, Ministers, Members of Parliament, and local leaders, today joined the people of Busia District in jubilant NRM victory celebrations at Buwanda Primary School grounds, in Masafu Town Council.
The colourful event, organised by the NRM National Treasurer, Hon. Amb. Barbara Nekesa, in collaboration with district party leaders, brought together supporters from across the district to celebrate the resounding victory of the party at the just-concluded polls.
The function was held to thank the people of Busia for overwhelmingly voting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and NRM flag bearers at all levels, as well as for demonstrating remarkable discipline and unity by maintaining peace throughout the entire election period.
Leaders hailed Busia residents for setting an example of calm, democratic participation and reaffirmed the NRM’s commitment to consolidating peace, stability, and socio-economic transformation in the district and the country at large.
