Mbale District is moving forward with its new headquarters construction project in Mbale town council.
Today, a site meeting was held at the construction site, attended by key stakeholders, including the RDC Mbale district Mr Bayole Stanley, CAO, National Housing (the contractor), technical staff, heads of department, procurement, auditor, and other district stakeholders.
The meeting aimed to kick-start the project, with the first phase expected to be completed by May, pending further funding from the government for the second phase.
The RDC appreciated the contractor's work and urged them to speed up to meet the deadline, ahead of the financial year closure on May 24th.
Additionally, the RDC requested the contractor to prioritize local employment opportunities, ensuring the community benefits from the project.
The meeting concluded with an agreement for regular site monitoring, either weekly or monthly, to ensure the project's progress and quality.
