The Umuguuka of Bugisu, His Royal Highness Jude Mike Mudoma has Challenges Media Houses, Journalists, Bloggers and influencers to Promote Unity, Reject Negative Narratives in Bugisu and the whole nation at large.
His Royal Highness Sir Jude Mike Mudoma revealed this while meeting media and security operative during breakfast meeting held in Maluku, in Mbale City.
Umukuka Wa Bugisu Cultural Institution advised journalists and all those in the media in Bugisu Sub-region to practice evidence -based reporting and use investigative skilling to avoid falling victims to misinformation and disinformation that could damage their credibility and that of the institutions they represent.
"I respect the fourth estate, they are the mouthpiece and the eyes to the whole would, therefore, let us always report the truth and with evidence than speculations"- Modoma.
He further noted that Negative reporting does not only affect the institution, but it also paints a bad picture on the nation worldwide.
Umukuka emphasized that media practitioners must uphold Truth, Professionalism and independence while reporting and presenting.
"You should avoid spinning news and talkshows, we've got individuals who pay small momey to have an agenda pushed in the medias, such people want to kill your carriers and credibility"- Mudoma.
He further noted that the cultural institution is conducting its duties smoothly and they now focus on having the best 2026 Imbalu officials Launch.
