Butiru MP Godfrey Wakooli Thanks Voters, Pledges Stronger Service After Landslide Re-election

The Member of Parliament for Butiru County in Manafwa District, Godfrey Wakooli Matembu, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the people of Butiru for re-electing him to Parliament for a second term.

Hon. Wakooli made the remarks while hosting more than 400 supporters, political leaders, and stakeholders at his home in Kampala during a thanksgiving dinner organized to celebrate his victory and appreciate the people for their continued trust and confidence in his leadership.

Speaking at the event, Wakooli thanked the residents of Butiru County for standing with him throughout the election period and pledged to continue serving the people with dedication and commitment.

“I am deeply humbled by the trust the people of Butiru County have placed in me once again. This victory belongs to all of us, and I remain committed to promoting unity, development, and effective representation for our people,” Wakooli said.

The Manafwa District LC5 Chairperson, Kigai Hosea Kimono, also commended the people of Butiru for renewing their confidence in Wakooli’s leadership. He noted that the overwhelming support reflects the public’s belief in the MP’s ability to deliver improved services and champion development programs across the district.

Kigai urged leaders and residents to work together for the continued progress of Manafwa District, emphasizing the importance of unity, cooperation, and collective responsibility among all stakeholders.

Former Bubulo West Member of Parliament, Welikhe Christopher, who also attended the function, described Wakooli as a hardworking and result-oriented leader capable of addressing the key challenges affecting the people of Butiru County.

“Hon. Wakooli is a performer who understands the needs of the people. I believe he will continue to address the major issues affecting Butiru and deliver meaningful development to the community,” Welikhe said.

Hon. Wakooli further reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling the promises outlined in his manifesto, including improving healthcare services, enhancing education standards, and expanding livelihood opportunities for the people.

He pledged to continue advocating for better services and ensuring that every community in Butiru County benefits from government programs and development initiatives.
