MP Masaba Muhamood Mutenyo Donates Machines, Items to Empower Voters in Bungokho Central


Mbale District – In a significant boost to local livelihoods, Hon. Masaba Muhamood Mutenyo, the Member of Parliament for Bungokho Central, has donated various income-generating machines to his constituents.

The donation, which includes sewing machines, grinding mills, chips processing machine, popcorn machines and other processing equipment, aims to support youth and women groups in starting small businesses and enhancing household incomes across the constituency.

Speaking during the handover ceremony attended by local leaders, residents, and beneficiaries, Hon. Masaba emphasized his commitment to practical development initiatives that create self-employment opportunities. 

“Leadership is about empowering our people to be self-reliant,” the MP said. “These machines are not just tools; they are seeds for economic transformation in Bungokho Central. I urge the recipients to use them well, form groups, and grow their enterprises.”Beneficiaries, many of whom are women and youth from various sub-counties, expressed gratitude for the timely support. 

One recipient noted that the sewing machines would help tailors expand their operations, while grinding mills would reduce the burden on families and create milling businesses.

Local leaders praised Hon. Masaba’s gesture as a fulfillment of his campaign promises to drive grassroots development following his election victory earlier this year. 

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support vulnerable groups and promote value addition in the constituency.

This donation adds to other community projects undertaken by the MP, including water and infrastructure lobbying in areas like Nyondo sub-county.Hon. Masaba Muhamood Mutenyo continues to focus on service delivery, urging residents to embrace unity and hard work for the progress of Bungokho Central and Mbale District at large.
