KAPCHORWA — The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kapchorwa District, Mr. Stanley Bayole, has strongly urged the newly sworn-in district leadership to turn their backs on corruption and prioritize teamwork for the effective delivery of services to the local population.
The RDC made these remarks today during the official swearing-in ceremony of the Kapchorwa District LCV Chairperson, Mr. Vincent Chelimo, alongside the newly elected district councilors.
Congratulating Chairperson Chelimo and the councilors on reaching this major milestone, Mr. Bayole reminded the leaders that the period of politics and campaigning is over, and the real work of serving the public begins immediately.
"Now that you have taken your oaths, it is time to focus entirely on serving the people of Kapchorwa and Uganda at large," Mr. Bayole noted.
The RDC underscored the critical importance of integrity, warning the leaders against engaging in corrupt practices that undermine district development. He further emphasized that optimal service delivery can only be achieved if the political leadership works hand-in-hand with the local security apparatus—including the District Internal Security Officer (DISO), Internal Security Officers (GISOs), and the Police—as well as various technical departments.
To ensure that the expectations of the local population are met, Mr. Bayole pledged his total commitment to working collaboratively with the political and technical heads of the district.
"I promise to work closely with the LCV Chairperson and the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) as a unified team. Together, we will deliver exactly what the people of Kapchorwa District expect and deserve," the RDC stated.
The event was also marked by colorful cultural displays. Mr. Bayole expressed his deep gratitude to the people of Kapchorwa for the exceptionally warm reception they have given him since his deployment to the district, highlighting the traditional attire presented to him as a profound sign of cultural hospitality.
In a gesture of goodwill and mutual respect, the family of the newly sworn-in LCV Chairperson, Mr. Vincent Chelimo, presented the RDC with a flower—a symbolic token officially welcoming him into the community as they embark on a shared journey of district transformation.
