Tragedy has struck Kamuli District after the area LCV Chairperson, Mr. Maxwell Kuwembula, is confirmed to have died in a horrific road accident that occurred Thursday morning in Nakifuma, Mukono District along the Gayaza – Kayunga road.
The area OC Traffic, Loy Ziramuke told The FreemanNewsUG that Kuwembula who was coming from Kampala side met his death when he knocked a stationery Sinotruck.
According to her, the incident occured at around 5:00am.
He was personally driving a Toyota Hilux double cabin pickup truck belonging to the Ministry of Health which The LCV has been using.
The body has been moved to Kayunga Hospital mortuary.
Shocking images obtained by The Eye Media show the vehicle’s engine compartment ripped apart, shattered windshields, and blood-stained debris — indicating the force of the impact.
Maxwell Kuwembula had been serving as the District Chairperson since 2021 and was known for his close ties to both local and central government leadership. His death is a big blow to the leadership of Busoga sub-region.
