The Rt Hon. Anita Among, NRM 2nd National Vice Chairperson (Female), has urged the people of Namutumba to embrace unity and support government initiatives aimed at transforming their communities.
Speaking during a mobilization rally Namutumba District Headquarters on Saturday [October 11th], Among called on residents to fully back the NRM manifesto and take advantage of the numerous development programmes that the government has rolled out to uplift Ugandans from poverty.
She urged local leaders to ensure that government services and projects benefit all citizens, particularly those at the grassroots.
“We must make sure that government programmes reach everyone, especially those in rural areas who need them most,” Among said.
The NRM Vice Chairperson who is also the Speaker of the Parliament appealed to the people of Busoga to put aside their differences and work together for the common good, emphasizing that unity is key to the region’s development.
“The strength of Busoga lies in our unity. Let us work together and support the leadership H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni that has brought peace and progress to our nation,” she added.
Among further rallied the people of Namutumba to stand firmly behind President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the NRM National Chairman and presidential flag bearer, as well as all party flag bearers in the forthcoming elections.
Her visit to Namutumba today is part of a series of countrywide tours aimed at popularising the NRM manifesto and mobilising support for the party.
Last week, Ms Among traversed several districts in the Busoga sub-region, including Buyende, Kaliro, Bugiri, Namayingo, meeting local leaders and community groups to reinforce the party’s message of socio-economic transformation.
She is scheduled to address another rally in Iganga District on Sunday, October 12, 2025.
