Exclusive reports coming through confirms that former Minister of Works and legislator Hon. Welikhe Kafwabusa Michael has chickened out of heated Bungokho Central MP race.
Hon. Welikhe who has represented Bungokho South constituency for the past 30 years in the Parliament had declared his intentions to for Bungokho Central, a constituency which is now 5 years of creation.
Welikhe was among the seven candidates who were successfully Nominated to contest in Bungokho Central, but now he has bowed out, according to our insiders.
Our insiders confirmed to this website that, Yesterday, Hon. Welikhe wrote to the Electoral Commission, informing it of his stepping down from the Mp race.
Another source close to a one Mweru, Welikhe's blue eyed man revealed that Welikhe could be planning to back up George Wamono.
According to tentative opinion polls, it indicates that Wamono could be a big threat to Masaba Muhamood, the NRM flagbearer.
