Hon. Woboya Vicent, the independent MP candidate for Budadiri East, continues to face a steep political downfall, after being recently expelled from PLU for refusing to withdraw his independent candidature, he desperately pleaded to be included in PLU/NRM mobilisation activities—but his pleas were ignored, leaving him isolated and politically stranded.

That collapse was visible yesterday in Namaguli, where Woboya drew a humiliating 10-person gathering at Kyesha Centre—the same venue where Eng. Julius Nakiyi, the official NRM flag bearer, mobilized overwhelming crowds earlier in the week.
Residents openly distanced themselves from Woboya’s bid, declaring their firm support for Eng. Nakiyi. They noted that Budadiri East needs a grounded, reliable, and development-focused leader—qualities they believe Woboya can no longer offer.
The contrast in turnout underscores a shifting political tide, with Eng. Nakiyi’s momentum growing stronger across the constituency.
