Butiru county MP Aspirant on independent ticket, but NRM leaning, Keffa Mafumo yesterday shutdown Bunyinza Town Council as thousands attended his final rallies, ahead of the January 15th 2026 general Elections.
While campaigning in Bunyinza, Mafumo addressed over six thousand voters in all Parishes that make up Bunyinza TC.
Promising MP aspirant Keffa Mafumo and others, including the incumbent, Hon. Godfrey Matembu few Months ago launch their campaign programmes in Butiru, signalling the start of a closely watched political contest between Mafumo and Wakooli ahead of the 15th January, 2026 polls.

Keffa the Independent candidate is rallying supporters to trust in him, while Wakooli the incumbent is highlighting her development record as he seeks to reinforce his support base.
Their simultaneous launches have stirred wide interest across Butiru county political landscape.
