Court Assessors Find MP Agnes Nandutu Guilty Over Karamoja Iron Sheets Saga

Justice Jane Okuo Kajuga of the Anti-Corruption court has set Wednesday 8th April 2026 as the date for the judgement of the case involving former State Minister for Karamoja Affairs and Woman MP Bududa District Agnes Nandutu.

This after the assessors in this case who have been following the case on behalf of the general public, have this morning, 1st April, 2026 advised Justice Kajuga to convict Nandutu for having acquired the Karamojong Empowerment Programme iron sheets wrongly, from the Office of the Prime Minister.

The assessors led by Namayanja Sarah reasoned that Nandutu didn’t have any formal requisition for at least the 2000 suspect iron sheets she claims to have received on behalf of the landslide victims in Bududa District.

They allege that she is guilty of the offence of Dealing with suspect property, an offence she allegedly committed between June and July 2022 at Namanve OPM stores, and in Mukono at her Farm House where the 2000 OPM iron sheets were recovered by Police.

Nandutu has since denied the charges and heaped all the blame on her former Boss then line Minister Mary Gorretti Kitutu for misleading her instead of showing her the right thing to do.
