BCU Eulogizes Fallen Umukuuka Wamimbi as a dedicated Cooperator

Bugisu Cooperative Union (BCU) pays tribute to the late Umukuuka Wilson Weasa Wamimbi, former cultural leader of the Bamasaaba, who passed away last Friday at Mulago National Referral Hospital.

Nathan Nandala Mafabi, Chairman of the BCU Board, commended Wamimbi for his unwavering dedication and selflessness in serving the union.

Wamimbi, appointed as the chairman of the vetting committee in 2020, played a crucial role in the union. He was also a committed coffee farmer associated with Busano GCS, supplying all his coffee to the union.

Nandala highlighted Wamimbi's advocacy for Bugisu Arabic Coffee, promoting it in countries like Canada and Germany.

The funeral arrangements indicate that Wamimbi will be laid to rest on Saturday at his ancestral home in Busano, Mbale District.
