On June 18, 2025, Hon. Masaba Muhamudu Mutenyo, aspirant for Bungokho Central MP seat, received a historic welcome from supporters after being nominated by NRM Secretariat in Kyadondo.
The supporters gathered at Malukhu DA playgrounds and later joined Hon. Masaba on a procession through Mbale-Malukhu road, Khamoto, Sekerere, Busoba, Bungokho Sub County, Nabumali Town Council, and Busano.
Addressing the media, Hon. Masaba thanked his supporters for the warm reception, stating he was cleared to start campaigning.
He dismissed rivals' claims about his qualifications, saying, "I've assisted some colleagues contesting for 25 years, now it's time for them to retire."
He added, "I don't blame them for contesting since they don't have jobs."
Hon. Masaba appealed to the people of Busano, where he held his final rally, to support him, assuring them he understands their needs and has the qualifications to represent them."
