UMUKUUKA OF INZU YA MASAABA IV JORUM MAYATSA VISITS KENYA AHEAD OF IMBALU CEREMONY


Umukuka IV Jorum Mayatsa, accompanied by a delegation of Masaba leaders, including the 5Ws, traveled to Bungoma, Kenya, yesterday for two days  meeting with Millions of Bamasaba from Kenya.

According to Bamasaba of Kenya who spoke to the media, they have distanced themselves from Mudoma's and Masika's Bukuka Bwa Bugisu accusing the two  of seeking to divide the Bamasaba people.

Umukuka IV Jorum Mayatsa has urged unity among Bamasaba from Kenya and Uganda, emphasizing their shared identity.

UMUKUKA IV LEADS HISTORIC CROSS-BORDER TOUR TO CONNECT WITH BAMASABA IN KENYA

His Highness Umukuka IV of Inzu Ya Masaba Mayatsa Joram Khamboson  has officially led a high-level delegation across the Kenya–Uganda border through Lwakhakha, marking a significant cultural and constitutional mission to engage with the Bamasaba community residing in Kenya.


The visit, which commenced yesterday and is now in its second day, is being conducted in fulfillment of the constitutional mandate of Inzu Ya Masaba—to unite, oversee, and connect with all Bamasaba people regardless of national boundaries.


*During this landmark tour,* Umukuka IV is expected to traverse several key regions in Kenya where Bamasaba communities live, including Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, Webuye, Chwele, and other districts. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cultural ties, address community concerns, and reaffirm the unity of the Bamasaba people across borders.


The delegation accompanying His Highness comprises senior officials of the cultural institution, led by the Prime Minister of Inzu Ya Masaba, Mathius Nabutele, alongside cabinet ministers and other key leaders. The visit has also attracted significant media coverage, with teams from Kadodi Media, BYAMS, Mooni Updates, and other outlets documenting the historic journey.


As part of the program, Umukuka IV is scheduled to deliver a special address to the Bamasaba community via Mumbo FM, where he will share his message of unity, cultural pride, and progress. Following the engagements, the delegation will return to Uganda.


This cross-border visit underscores the enduring cultural bonds of the Bamasaba people and highlights the continued role of Inzu Ya Masaba in preserving and promoting their heritage.
