The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, has today arrived in Sironko District ahead of his official farewell service at the North Mbale Diocesan Headquarters in Buhugu scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 30th May 2026.
Upon his arrival, the Archbishop was warmly received by the Bishop of North Mbale Diocese together with the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Hon. Eng. Julius Nakiyi, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Budadiri East, alongside other religious, political and community leaders.
The farewell service is expected to attract Christians from across the region, as well as friends and well-wishers coming together to celebrate and appreciate the Archbishop’s spiritual leadership, dedication to the Church, and service to the nation.
Christians and all people of goodwill are therefore encouraged to turn up in large numbers for this special occasion, which will commence at 9:00 AM tomorrow at the North Mbale Diocesan Headquarters in Buhugu.
May this gathering be marked by unity, thanksgiving and blessings for the Church and the people of the region.
