Two arrested in Sironko for stealing computers, other items at Budadiri girl school.

Police in Sironko district have arrested two people suspected to have stolen three computers and other items like bulbs, wires among other things at Budadiri girls Secondary School.

According to Rogers Taitika spokesperson of police at Elgon region, the first suspect is only identified as Yefesi aged 32 years and Moses Wajambuka aged 27 both residents of Gibinda cell, Bunjode ward in Budadiri town council.

He adds that the two were part of over 1,000 youths from different catholic churches  in eastern region that came for one week youth conference Kalawa Christ the king Catholic Church  located at Buddairi town council Sironko district organized by Tororo catholic arch diocese  at last week.

Taitika also says that those youths who turned for a conference were using Budadiri girl’s secondary school as a sleeping venue, that is when they used it as a chance to break into a computer lab and steal items.

The PRO adds that on Saturday when the conference ended that is when they discovered that the computer lab of the school has been broken into and 3 computers have been stolen with other items like bulbs and wires.

Francis Giboji the director of studies at Budadiri girl’s secondary school says that the arrest of the two follows the search they made with police and recovered one computer and wires at their houses.

He adds that they are still searching for more missing computers and items saying that more suspects are on the run.

Patrick Wataya the youth chairperson of Kalawa Christ the King Catholic Church where these youths conducted their conference condemned what these youths saying the law should take its course.
