TOP TV & TOP Radio journalists Lay down tools, Lock the stations over five months salary demand.

The employees are once again accusing Pastor Jackson Senyonga of not paying them for a long time.

Sources say that there has been no communication about this at all from the pastor, which has brought about uncertainty among the employees.

While some workers have decided to look for other placements elsewhere, others have laid down the tools and decided to lock down the Top Media premises.

This is not the first time Top Radio and Top TV employees have gone on strike.

Last year, the workers dragged Pastor Ssenyonga to the Gender Ministry, along with the station’s general manager, Ronald Mubiru, over the same.

Upon getting the information, this prompted Gabriel Buule, a journalist and activist to critically  respond to the issue: "Journalists working with Top Tv have laid down tools over unpaid wages.

It's a norm for Church-based media houses to refuse to pay workers' salaries. Uganda Communication Commission should revoke licences of media owners who exploit workers We also ask advertisers to stop associating with cheats" : Buule via  twitter.
