Daily monitor's journalist otage goes bare-knuckle with embattled PM Nabbanja over karamoja Iron sheets.


While representing the President at the event organized by Rotary International at Commonwealth Resort Hotel Munyonyo on the 21st of March 2023, where she flagged off 50 tricycle village ambulances donated by Rotary International. 




The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon Robinah Nabbanja went bare-knuckle with Daily Monitor journalist, Stephen Otage who asked her about her stand on the ongoing corruption investigation in the office of the prime minister (OPM).


How it started:-


While addressing the media after commissioning the project, Nabbanja welcomed questions from a journalist, little did she know that Daily monitor's radical man was available.


Things got bad when daily monitor's Otage asked if  Nabbanja would step down as prime minister to allow smooth investigations in her ministry. 


PM Nabbanja got out of control and accused the journalist of being among those fighting her.


"I know who sent you, I know who you work for, you are only good at blackmailing me. By the way, I am here to commission a private project which is not even connected to mabbati" - embattled Nabbanja spit venom.


That question marked the end of the interview which left PM Nabbanja very annoyed.

The biggest Karamoja Iron sheet beneficiary are politicians who got them from the OPM.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing, but a closer look at the list of the recipients of the controversial iron sheets shows the biggest number of recipients come from the Bunyoro Sub-region.

Besides Ms. Nabbanja and Mr. Kasaija, there are at least 27 other politicians from the region who got the iron sheets.
