On Saturday, 12th April, 2025, Teso College Aloet inaugurated its new Board of Governors at the school premises.
The newly appointed Board brings together a diverse team of professionals and educationists committed to the growth and continued transformation of the institution.
This marks a significant milestone in the college’s efforts to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery in education. The newly appointed Board comprises distinguished individuals from various sectors, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the institution's growth. Their collective expertise is expected to steer the school towards achieving its strategic goals and maintaining its esteemed reputation.

Members of the Teso College Aloet Board of Governors include: Rev. Canon Samuel Ediau, a distinguished educationist and ordained priest within the Church of Uganda, currently serving as the Diocesan Secretary of the Soroti Diocese is the Chairperson. He oversees administrative and educational initiatives, contributing significantly to the development of educational policies and the training.
Mr. Oyata Samuel Ediau, a respected educationist and with extensive experience in school administration and governance is the Vice Chairperson.
Other members of the board include: Mr. Egadu Francis, Mrs Anyait Theresa Akorimo; Prof. Akileng Godfrey; Hon. Emukoki John Bapstist; Mr. Apedu Joseph; Ms. Angwaro Jenifer; Mr. Oriokot Patrick; Mr. Epenyu Andrew; and Hon, Agonyo Juliet who are all educationist and with extensive experience in school administration, governance and resource mobilization.
During the inauguration ceremony, stakeholders, including the Foundation Body, expressed satisfaction with the school's current trajectory, highlighting notable improvements in academic performance, student discipline, and infrastructure. The Board reaffirmed its commitment to building upon these achievements and fostering an environment conducive to holistic student development.
The Headteacher, Mr. Julius Opasso, was commended for his exemplary leadership and was encouraged to continue upholding the school's values and pursuing excellence in all domains.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to work hand in hand with the school administration, parents, alumni and the broader community to ensure that Teso College Aloet continues to shine as a centre of academic excellence and character development in the region.
