"You are mandated to protect The party Members, Avoid Corruption"-. Mayor Masaba Muhamood as he hands over office to Wambogo Moses

 

The Mayor of Industrial Division City, and now former Mbale District NRM Chairman, Mr. Masaba Muhamood has requested the current Chairperson to Embrace party ideology and its rules and regulations. 

Masaba made the statements yesterday at the Mbale District headquarters in Busoba, during a handover ceremony. 

Masaba was handing over office to Mr. Wambogo Moses, a prominent City Businessman and an official in the office of the President.

Masaba noted that NRM, the ruling party in Uganda, has several mechanisms and stated goals for protecting its members. The party's constitution outlines aims to consolidate peace, security, protection of persons and property, and to eliminate terrorism. 

"As you assume office, you must know that NRM also emphasizes the importance of democracy and constitutional governance in Uganda. Additionally, the party's manifesto highlights its role in securing Uganda's future and prioritizes the needs and rights of the masses over the elite. Therefore it is your mandate to protect all its members"-Masaba noted.

Masaba further said that NRM aims to consolidate democracy and constitutional governance in Uganda, which can be seen as a way to protect its members' rights and freedoms within a structured legal framework. 

"The party aims to consolidate peace and security, which is essential for the protection of its members and the broader Ugandan population. The NRM specifically states its aim to protect persons and property, ensuring the safety and well-being of its members, so as we head to party primaries and general elections, endeavour to fight corruption and self interests in the election process"-Masaba 

Masaba concluded by calling upon all leaders and supporters to vote hunt for President Museveni in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.
