Malende’s last dance as Kampala woman MP, voters her to step down as she attends more hospital visits than parliament

Endless sicknesses have affected the once active NUP MP to the extent that her constituents are politely asking her to step aside and focus on her health. The MP who has attended more hospital visits than parliament appearances remains.

a no show, and indeed she didn’t physically participate in the NUP nomination process, and even missed the burial of her own father which occurred last month.

Sources close to Malende say she is banking on sympathy to win herself support, though Zahara Luyirika’s grand entry is a grand shocker to her.

With Malende silent and absent from the political arena, odds are high that KCCA speaker Zahra Luyirika may scoop the flag and take on the mantle as Kampala woman MP.

The other candidate in the race is Nakandi Winifred,a women’s rights advocate
