Jonathan Wanambwa, popularly known as Gavin MC, 30, a prominent master of ceremonies and Entertainer in Mbale, was confirmed dead on Tuesday evening following a stabbing incident at a private residence.
Gavin MC was rushed to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital after the attack, but doctors pronounced him dead shortly after arrival, leaving the city’s entertainment community in shock.
Preliminary police reports suggest that the attack was carried out by his girlfriend after finding out that mc gavin was in a relationship with another lady.
The woman who is believed to have stabbed mc gavin is currently held at mbale city Central police Station.
He formerly worked as a VJ and presenter at Step TV (SBC Media Center) and was ranked one of the top MCs in Mbale City!
Investigations are underway to establish the exact sequence of events and the motive behind the tragedy.
