National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders in Namisindwa District have launched a house-to-house vote mobilization drive for Presidential flag bearer Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and all NRM flagbearers in the upcoming elections.
The decision was reached during a meeting held on Wednesday afternoon at the district headquarters, attended by the NRM District Executive Committee (DEC), sub-county chairpersons, as well as parliamentary and LCV flagbearers.
According to Aramazan Wabuko, the NRM District Chairperson, the meeting resolved to begin a house-to-house campaign for President Museveni and all NRM flagbearers starting next month. He added that leaders also agreed to seize every opportunity to mobilize support for the party. Wabuko emphasized that they will move village to village in search of votes and cautioned party members against endorsing opposition or independent candidates, warning that such actions would weaken support for NRM flagbearers.
Bubulo East MP, Musila John, who also serves as the NRM District Publicity Secretary, urged leaders to avoid intrigue and instead consolidate support for one another, stressing that the ultimate goal is to strengthen President Museveni’s support base. He reminded the meeting that Namisindwa District has historically made significant contributions to the nation and said it is time to protect those gains.
Emma Bwayo, the LCV flag bearer, called on party leaders to remain united and genuine in their commitments. He stressed that the primary objective should be delivering victory for both the president and all flagbearers to ensure continued access to government services. Bwayo also encouraged leaders to prioritize service delivery and maintain close engagement with the people.
